The castle in the middle of the square
Palazzo Madama is the medieval–baroque core of Piazza Castello, distinct from the Royal Palace. A strong “second museum” after the Egyptian Museum or before the Royals.
How to pair it
On foot: cathedral/Shroud (via Royal products), Royal Gardens, Via Roma. With only one free afternoon, Madama + a square stroll often beats a rush to the Mole.
Before you pay

FAQ
Madama or Royal Museums?
Madama is leaner and often cheaper. The Royals cover the Palace and Shroud-area path. On the square you can do both on different slots.
Do I really need skip-the-line?
On weekends and in high season, yes. In low season a short queue can work, but a timed ticket stays convenient.
How long?
Ninety minutes to two hours for a core route; do not stack with Egyptian Museum and Mole the same morning.
Are prices fixed?
No — €14.50*/€29.90* are snapshots. Confirm at checkout.
